LinkedIn Import

Import your LinkedIn connections to TitanCard for unified contact management

Last updated: February 8, 2026

Import your LinkedIn connections to TitanCard and manage your entire professional network in one place. Export your connections from LinkedIn, upload the file to TitanCard, and we'll handle the rest.

Due to LinkedIn API restrictions, import is done via file upload rather than direct connection. This keeps your data private and complies with LinkedIn's terms of service.

Exporting from LinkedIn

1

Go to LinkedIn Settings

Click your profile picture > Settings & Privacy.

2

Navigate to Data Privacy

Select 'Data privacy' from the left sidebar.

3

Get a Copy of Your Data

Click 'Get a copy of your data' under the 'How LinkedIn uses your data' section.

4

Select Connections

Choose 'Connections' from the list of data types.

5

Request Archive

Click 'Request archive'. LinkedIn will email you when it's ready (usually 10-15 minutes).

6

Download the File

Download and extract the ZIP file. You'll need the 'Connections.csv' file.

What Gets Imported

LinkedIn exports include the following data, all of which TitanCard imports:

  • First and last name
  • Email address (if shared with you)
  • Company name
  • Job title/position
  • Connection date
  • LinkedIn profile URL

Imported connections are tagged with 'LinkedIn Import' for easy filtering.

Duplicate Detection

TitanCard automatically checks for existing contacts based on:

  • Email address (exact match)
  • Name + company combination
  • LinkedIn profile URL

When a duplicate is found, you can choose to skip, merge, or create a new contact.

Batch Processing

Large imports (500+ connections) are processed in batches to ensure reliability:

  • 50 connections per batch
  • Progress shown in real-time
  • Failed imports logged for retry
  • Email notification when complete

After Import

Once your LinkedIn connections are imported, you can:

  • Add tags and categories to organize contacts
  • Set follow-up reminders for key connections
  • View them in the Network Intelligence graph
  • Enrich profiles with additional data
  • Send batch follow-up messages

Privacy Considerations

  • Your LinkedIn credentials are never stored
  • CSV file is processed and immediately deleted
  • Imported contacts are only visible to you
  • You control all data sharing settings

LinkedIn import respects your connections' privacy. Only data they've chosen to share with you is imported.

Troubleshooting

  • Wrong file format - Make sure to use the Connections.csv file, not other exports
  • Missing emails - LinkedIn only includes emails that connections shared with you
  • Import stuck - Large imports may take up to 30 minutes; check your email for completion
  • Duplicate connections - Use the 'Merge All Duplicates' feature after import
